An Important Solve and Smile Update

Today I am announcing a major change to the Solve and Smile website.

From now on, my entire archive of puzzles is free and accessible to EVERYBODY!!!

I am no longer charging for subscriptions to the site. All membership renewals will be discontinued. To all of you that have supported this site with your subscriptions, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You made the continued viability of this site possible!

I have discontinued writing new puzzles. To put this in perspective, I wrote a puzzle every day for four years. On those unavoidable days when I had no time to write one, I would write two on the next day. It was a tall standard to maintain, and I am still surprised that the task of writing them remained as enjoyable and satisfying as it was that entire time.

I have a stockpile of puzzles that I haven’t published yet, and will continue rolling them out daily until they are all posted. At that point, apart from occasional special puzzles I may post, the site will have almost 2,000 puzzles permanently available for your enjoyment for free.

That said, the site still incurs expenses, so if you like my puzzles and wish to support the site, you will be able to make contributions.

Any contributions will be strictly voluntary; access to the archives will never be denied to anyone.

However, please be clear that this is not a 501 (c) (3) charity, and contributions are NOT tax-deductible.

It’s been quite a journey, folks, and writing these puzzles has been immensely challenging and immensely gratifying. I hope you all continue to enjoy them! Continue to send your emails with your questions and comments, and, as ever, your CORRECTIONS!
